Stargate SG-1: Unleashed has quite a lot of potential. Featuring the voices of many of the cast of the TV series of the same name, and some rather attractive visuals, its ambitions appear to be quite high. It’s unfortunate then that Stargate SG-1: Unleashed struggles from having a few too many ideas, meaning it doesn’t focus on one core component for its gameplay.

In the space of 5-10 minutes of playing, there are moments of cover shooting, conversation threads and Quick Time Events. It’s almost too much to keep track of, and none of it works quite as smoothly as one would like.
